Package arrived within 3 days, very well packaged, extremely heavy.

I am in agreement with everyone else, however if you are looking for high-end or french country wood, this is not for you.

It is 100% bright white formica with a cardboard backing, most can tell it's not real wood. Which means it can chip/strip easily, but generally cleans well and will stay bright white.

My husband put it together, took about 1.5 hours.

I must say once the doors are attached, this piece really comes to life and I can completely get over it not being wood.

Ideal for: dorm room, 1st apartment, rec room, or beach house. PS - my husband thinks it's a little high-end for a dorm room;)

I've been shopping around for a TV stand for quite a while and finally settled on this one. I paid $219 and couldn't be happier. I have a little one at home that loves to mess with my home theater components and needed a stand that matched the decor, fit all my components and keep my little guy out and this achieved all the above. In addition, it has the glass doors so you can still use the remote and it was a breeze to assemble, only taking a little time to tweak the doors so that they were even. The other thing is I received it almost a week before the estimated arrival date with not a scratch. My only concern would be that there is not much ventilation aside from the cable openings in the back and it does get hot with the doors closed but so far this hasn't posed a problem.

I have gotten many complements on this console. Looks great. Except for the doors, I was able to assemble it by myself- fairly easy to put together if you lay out all the parts. The shelves are wide enough for my DVD and DVR, as well as my Wii system - many cabinets are only 16 inchs deep. I love the scratch resistant surface on the top.
